Earth Hour serves as a reminder that we have the power to change our lifestyles to be kinder and more friendly towards our Earth. It may just be 60 minutes tonight with our lights off and all, but it can make a jolly big difference for our Earth.

So, pretty please, do your part. We are all responsible to look after our Earth. We have a say! And we have the power to change things. Believe!

Four Years Ago…

4th ANNIVERSARY

In Loving Memory of

ROLAND EDWARD TONIS PUDIN

Born: 16 February 1970

Departed: 19 March 2006

People say ‘Let him go, it’s been four years’

But in our hearts and minds, you are always there…

How are we able to let you go when we deeply miss your warm embrace, your bright and big smile, your warm laughter?

Remembering the good, old times always bring a warm feeling and yet a deep longing in our hearts.

We long for a text message or a phone call from you…

We long for the long chats, your funny riddles

and jokes…

Amidst the pain in our hearts, we believe you are safe and sound in God’s loving arms…

We hope our thoughts and prayers will ascend to heaven so you know, we are missing you so much…

“Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord.

May the perpetual light shine upon him.

May his soul rest in peace forever and ever. Amen”

Always loved, forever remembered

and eternally in our hearts:

Your Loved Ones

We Are in Love…

… with Aotearoa! I know we’ve been home ages ago (more than 3 weeks…), still we can’t help but think about the beautiful scenery and magnificent landscapes of NZ. Not forgetting the cool summer weather! I would have loved visiting NZ during winter though..

Hubby and I are so grateful for the chance to visit the beautiful country.  We managed to visit a few towns/cities in north and south islands. I remember them this way - Auckland, with its vibrant and colourful character; Hastings, a pleasant and cosy town; Napier, the cool and artsy town; Palmy, the rugby museum city; Wellington, of course, the Windy Wellington!; Queenstown, with its amazing and breathtaking view; Arrowtown, a cosy little town; Glernochy, full of LOTR footprints; Hamilton, the fine Waikato city; Matamata, where Hobbiton is!

:)

It was really exciting to visit some of the LOTR movie locations. And it’s exciting to know that another LOTR related movie, The Hobbit, is being planned. Can’t wait for the movie!

We hope one fine day we’ll be able to visit NZ again, together with the kids. ;)

One fine day…………. *dreaming again, what else is new with me?*

Tedorik Tonjumal is FOUR today!! How time flies, eh? This Ted is crazy about birthdays. Even if it’s not his, he’d want to blow the candles too. tsk tsk tsk. Ted, Ted.

He celebrated his birthday at school (Stepping Stones) on Friday. And last night, we celebrated his birthday at home. Oh, he also ‘celebrated’ his birthday together with his 2 cousins from Papar during lunch time yesterday!

1. At school…

2. At Moing’s house…

3. At home…

Paper Presented!

Hiya all! I should have updated my blog right after my presentation last week. Hmm, I managed to upload photos on FB but didn’t get to update my blog. Sorry!

Anywayssss… Yes, I (finally) presented my paper last Wednesday. It went well and we had an interactive discussion on environmental education programmes for schools. Good comments from the audience and when I return to office, I’ll discuss some of the suggestions with my boss.

The NZAEE Biennial Conference was a great avenue to learn from each other. We do have similar EE programmes but mechanisms are not the same. Still, the networking from the conference is amazing! I look forward to communicate further with new friends in EE. :) Also, on possibilities of learning much more on EE research. I look forward to that.

So, here I was during the conference…

p/s I’ll write more on my NZ trip soon ok? ;)

The Boy Who Dreams BIG…

… and I am really impressed with him!

Shania told me today about her good friend, Chin. Chin wants to become a pilot and open an airline business called ‘Chin Airways’ when he grows up. The whole dream is so cute to me because he has started taking BOOKINGS for the flights to London, Hong Kong, etc! Coolest! And the best thing is Shania booked SEAT 1 already! hehehe And oh, it only costs RM10 (to be paid just before travelling)! I love his dream, I really do. He told Shania he’d need some millions to start the business. I was telling hubby that who knows, in 20 years’ time, we’d be flying Chin Airways! Awesome!

You see, some people are too scared to dream. Dreams do come true. Of course, we have to work towards them and make them come true. It’s never too silly to dream big. I’ve been dreaming all my life. Some of those dreams have been fulfilled and some in the process. ;)

By now, you’d know me a bit better that I love to travel. Most of us do, huh? About four years ago, I printed a tour package to Hong Kong Disneyland. I put it up on the wall and it was my dream picture for a family holiday. I also bought a HK travel book in 2007 as another motivator. hehe And it came true.. Not immediately but it did anyhow.

As a uni student 13-16 years ago, I had the chance to travel quite a bit to the US and Europe. I dreamed of doing that when I was in secondary school. And you know, when I started learning Geography in school, I fell in love with New Zealand. I told myself one fine day I’d travel to the land of many sheep and scenic mountains!

Hubby and I are really looking forward to the NZ trip. We are going on Sunday morning. Honestly, I do have mixed feelings leaving the kids here although I know they are in very, very good hands - mum in law, mum, sisters, helper, etc! I’m also anxious thinking about my presentation.. O well, I’ll just go there and give it my best, huh? ;)

Catch up another time, y’all!
