Last night, hubby, the kids and I had dinner with my old friend’s parents from KL. The kids were super active, and could not sit still (I was distracted from concentrating on my yummy dinner..
). I haven’t seen Aunty and Uncle for almost 10 years! How time flies! They look the same, I tell you.
Aunty told me I look the same too but I told her, ahem, I have actually expanded horizontally!
Anyway… we had a really yummy dinner and of course one of the dishes was butter prawns! YUMMY!!! I love prawns or shrimps. I’ve heard a lot about the cholestrol stories but I don’t eat prawns everyday, anyway. Only on special occasions..
Whenever I go to Tawau, I’d have prawns almost everyday..
What can I say, I just love prawns!
By the way, I came across a recipe for Shrimp and Andouille Cassoulet in the Great American Seafood cook off. It’s created by Chef Brian Landry from Louisiana. I like the recipe because firstly it looks yummy
. Here’s a photo of it:
And the ingredients are really rich. Check it out at http://www.greatamericanseafoodcookoff.com/.
I think I’ll try out the recipe when I have the chance to. Why don’t you visit the site and vote for your favourite recipe? There is a chance to win a trip to New Orleans prize package, you know…
Food-wise, we are really fortunate to be able to get ample supplies of domestic seafood here. I mean, we can get them anytime at the wet markets and also supermarkets. Fresh from the sea, so to speak!
