Honestly Speaking…

Last month, my friends and I collected some donations for a children’s home in Keningau. We’ve been doing this for the last few years - for different homes - usually towards the end of the year. It was a success and my friends definitely had fun with the kids. :) Unfortunately, I couldn’t join the trip this year because of a family weekend trip we’ve planned ahead earlier.

Anyway, these days, there are various donation drives usually focusing on specific problem or issue - donation for cancer patients, bone marrow donation (by the way, if you are interested, you can check out more information for donors, patients and physicians about bone marrow online), tree-planting and maintenance, and many more. Honestly, I wish I could do much more than what I am able to do now.

I would love to donate more for trees to be planted and maintained well in this state. I wish I can give more to the kids staying in homes so they are able to live comfortably or to patients with health problems. I wish for so many things. Apart from these, I wish that people are more sincere and caring towards others’ welfare. It is so disheartening to know of people with vested interests, only wanting to fill their own pockets and not giving a hoot about others, or the environment in particular. :(

Some friends have shared how fed up they are about many things that are happening lately. Why can’t people be nicer and kinder? Is it so difficult to be kind?

*sigh*

On a more positive note, I believe there are people out there who are sincere, nice and kind too. :mrgreen: These people give me hope. Perseverance is the keyword. I know it’s not easy. Life is not always easy, eh?

“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.”

    I feel frustrated too. Was thinking today if the world is square, I would go jump of the edge. But it isnt, so I have to wake up every morning and face all these vested interest people :( And I hope they come to their senses lah.
